Metro buses are now operating on the first use of ‘Emergency Snow Network’

Commuting in a snow-covered Seattle is about to get even harder.

King County Metro has implemented its “Emergency Snow Network,” which reduces the usual 237 routes to just 60 where ridership is high and slopes are low. The ESN transit service is focused on areas that are plowed and treated as arterial roadways being maintained by state and local jurisdictions during the winter advisory watch.
