Durkan wants $90 million increase in property tax levy for libraries

Mayor Jenny Durkan wants voters to approve a $90 million increase in the city’s property tax levy for libraries.  The $213 million “Libraries for All” measure would replace an expiring $123 million seven year levy.

“If we are going to build a city of the future, then we must build libraries of the future, too,” said Durkan.
